அவன்: கர்த்தர் உரைக்கிறது என்னவென்றால், இந்தப் பள்ளத்தாக்கிலே எங்கும் வாய்க்கால்களை வெட்டுங்கள்.
And he said, Thus says the LORD, Make this valley full of ditches.

நீங்கள் காற்றையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள், மழையையும் காணமாட்டீர்கள்; ஆனாலும் நீங்களும் உங்கள் ஆடு மாடுகளும் உங்கள் மிருகஜீவன்களும் குடிக்கும்படிக்கு, இந்தப் பள்ளத்தாக்கு தண்ணீரால் நிரப்பப்படும் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
For thus says the LORD, All of you shall not see wind, neither shall all of you see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that all of you may drink, both all of you, and your cattle, and your beasts.

இது கர்த்தரின் பார்வைக்கு அற்பகாரியம்; மோவாபியரையும் உங்கள் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுப்பார்.
And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand.

அவர் ஆறுகளை அவாந்தர வெளியாகவும் நீரூற்றுகளை வறண்ட ஸ்தலமாகவும்,
He turns rivers into a wilderness, and the fountains into dry ground;

குடிகளுடைய பொல்லாப்பினிமித்தம் செழிப்பான தேசத்தை உவர்நிலமாகவும் மாற்றுகிறார்.
A fruitful land into barrenness, for the wickedness of them that dwell therein.
