1 பேதுரு 5:8
தெளிந்த புத்தியுள்ளவர்களாயிருங்கள், விழித்திருங்கள்; ஏனெனில், உங்கள் எதிராளியாகிய பிசாசானவன் கெர்ச்சிக்கிற சிங்கம்போல் எவனை விழுங்கலாமோ என்று வகைதேடிச் சுற்றித்திரிகிறான்.
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walks about, seeking whom he may devour:

மாம்சத்தின்படி நல்வேஷமாய்க் காணப்பட விரும்புகிறவர்கள் எவர்களோ, அவர்கள் தாங்கள் கிறிஸ்துவினுடைய சிலுவையினிமித்தம் துன்பப்படாதபடிக்கே உங்களை விருத்தசேதனம் பண்ணிக்கொள்ளக் கட்டாயம்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்.
As many as desire to make a fair show in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ.

And it shall come to pass, if you shall hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD your God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command you this day, that the LORD your God will set you on high above all nations of the earth:
