ஆதியாகமம் 40:1
இந்த நடபடிகளுக்குப் பின்பு, எகிப்து ராஜாவுக்குப் பானபாத்திரக்காரனும் சுயம்பாகியும் எகிப்து ராஜாவாகிய தங்கள் ஆண்டவனுக்குக் குற்றம் செய்தார்கள்.
And it came to pass after these things, that the butler of the king of Egypt and his baker had offended their lord the king of Egypt.
ஆதியாகமம் 40:4
தலையாரிகளின் அதிபதி அவர்களை விசாரிக்கும்படி யோசேப்பின் வசத்தில் ஒப்புவித்தான்; அவன் அவர்களை விசாரித்துவந்தான்; அவர்கள் அநேகநாள் காவலில் இருந்தார்கள்.
And the captain of the guard charged Joseph with them, and he served them: and they continued a season in ward.

பார்வோன் தன் பானபாத்திரக்காரரின் தலைவனும் சுயம்பாகிகளின் தலைவனும் ஆகிய இவ்விரண்டு பிரதானிகள் மேலும் கடுங்கோபங்கொண்டு,
And Pharaoh was angry against two of his officers, against the chief of the butlers, and against the chief of the bakers.
ஆதியாகமம் 40:3
அவர்களை யோசேப்பு வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்த இடமும் தலையாரிகளின் அதிபதியின் வீடுமாகிய சிறைச்சாலையிலே காவல்பண்ணுவித்தான்.
And he put them in ward in the house of the captain of the guard, into the prison, the place where Joseph was bound.

ராகேல் தான் யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறாததைக்கண்டு, தன் சகோதரியின்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டு, யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: எனக்குப் பிள்ளை கொடும், இல்லாவிட்டால் நான் சாகிறேன் என்றாள்.
And when Rachel saw that she bare Jacob no children, Rachel envied her sister; and said unto Jacob, Give me children, or else I die.

ராகேல் தான் யாக்கோபுக்குப் பிள்ளைகளைப் பெறாததைக்கண்டு, தன் சகோதரியின்மேல் பொறாமைகொண்டு, யாக்கோபை நோக்கி: எனக்குப் பிள்ளை கொடும், இல்லாவிட்டால் நான் சாகிறேன் என்றாள்.

ஆதியாகமம் 30:2
அப்பொழுது யாக்கோபு ராகேலின்மேல் கோபங்கொண்டு: தேவனல்லோ உன் கர்ப்பத்தை அடைத்திருக்கிறார், நான் தேவனோ என்றான்.
And Jacob’s anger was kindled against Rachel: and he said, Am I in God’s position, who has withheld from you the fruit of the womb?
ஆதியாகமம் 31:1
பின்பு, லாபானுடைய குமாரர்: எங்கள் தகப்பனுக்கு உண்டானவைகள் யாவையும் யாக்கோபு எடுத்துக் கொண்டான் என்றும், எங்கள் தகப்பனுடைய பொருளினாலே இந்தச் செல்வத்தையெல்லாம் அடைந்தான் என்றும் சொன்ன வார்த்தைகளை யாக்கோபு கேட்டான்.
And he heard the words of Laban’s sons, saying, Jacob has taken away all that was our father’s; and of that which was our father’s has he got all this glory.
ஆதியாகமம் 31:2
லாபானின் முகத்தை யாக்கோபு பார்த்தபோது, அது நேற்று முந்தைநாள் இருந்ததுபோல் இராமல் வேறுபட்டிருக்கக் கண்டான்.
And Jacob beheld the countenance of Laban, and, behold, it was not toward him as before.
ஆதியாகமம் 42:2
எகிப்திலே தானியம் உண்டென்று கேள்விப்படுகிறேன்; நாம் சாகாமல் உயிரோடிருக்கும்படி நீங்கள் அவ்விடத்துக்குப் போய் நமக்காகத் தானியம் கொள்ளுங்கள் என்றான்.
And he said, Behold, I have heard that there is corn in Egypt: get you down thither, and buy for us from thence; that we may live, and not die.
ரூத் 2:1
நகோமிக்கு அவளுடைய புருஷனாகிய எலிமெலேக்கின் உறவின்முறையில் போவாஸ் என்னும் பேருள்ள மிகுந்த ஆஸ்திக்காரனாகிய இனத்தான் ஒருவன் இருந்தான்.
And Naomi had a kinsman of her husband’s, a mighty man of wealth, of the family of Elimelech; and his name was Boaz.
ரூத் 2:2
மோவாபிய ஸ்திரீயான ரூத் என்பவள் நகோமியைப் பார்த்து: நான் வயல்வெளிக்குப் போய், யாருடைய கண்களில் எனக்குத் தயைகிடைக்குமோ, அவர் பிறகே கதிர்களைப் பொறுக்கிக்கொண்டுவருகிறேன் என்றாள்; அதற்கு இவள்: என் மகளே, போ என்றாள்.
And Ruth the Moabitess said unto Naomi, Let me now go to the field, and glean ears of corn after him in whose sight I shall find grace. And she said unto her, Go, my daughter.
ஆதியாகமம் 33:1
யாக்கோபு தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, இதோ, ஏசாவும் அவனோடேகூட நானூறு மனிதரும் வருகிறதைக் கண்டு, பிள்ளைகளை லேயாளிடத்திலும் ராகேலிடத்திலும் இரண்டு பணிவிடைக்காரிகளிடத்திலும் வெவ்வேறாகப் பிரித்துவைத்து,
And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.
ஆதியாகமம் 33:2
பணிவிடைக்காரிகளையும் அவர்கள் பிள்ளைகளையும் முதலிலும், லேயாளையும் அவள் பிள்ளைகளையும் இடையிலும், ராகேலையும் யோசேப்பையும் கடையிலும் நிறுத்தி:
And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.
