கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்துச் சாலொமோனுக்கு உண்டாயிருந்த கீர்த்தி சேபாவின் ராஜஸ்திரீக்குக் கேள்வியானபோது, அவள் விடுகதைகளினால் அவனைச் சோதிக்கிறதற்காக,
And when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon concerning the name of the LORD, she came to prove him with hard questions.
ஆதியாகமம் 9:1
பின்பு தேவன் நோவாவையும், அவன் குமாரரையும் ஆசீர்வதித்து: நீங்கள் பலுகிப் பெருகி, பூமியை நிரப்புங்கள்.
And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.
சங்கீதம் 128:3
உன் மனைவி உன் வீட்டோரங்களில் கனிதரும் திராட்சக்கொடியைப்போல் இருப்பாள்; உன் பிள்ளைகள் உன் பந்தியைச் சுற்றிலும் ஒலிவமரக் கன்றுகளைப்போல் இருப்பார்கள்.
Your wife shall be as a fruitful vine by the sides of yours house: your children like olive plants round about your table.
சங்கீதம் 128:4
இதோ, கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற மனுஷன் இவ்விதமாய் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவான்.
Behold, that thus shall the man be blessed that fears the LORD.
ஆதியாகமம் 22:1
இந்தக் காரியங்கள் நடந்தபின்பு, தேவன் ஆபிரகாமைச் சோதித்தார்; எப்படியெனில், அவர் அவனை நோக்கி: ஆபிரகாமே என்றார்; அவன்: இதோ அடியேன் என்றான்.
And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: உன் புத்திரனும் உன் ஏகசுதனும் உன் நேசகுமாரனுமாகிய ஈசாக்கை நீ இப்பொழுது அழைத்துக் கொண்டு, மோரியா தேசத்துக்குப் போய், அங்கே நான் உனக்குக் குறிக்கும் மலைகள் ஒன்றின்மேல் அவனைத் தகனபலியாகப் பலியிடு என்றார்.
And he said, Take now your son, yours only son Isaac, whom you love, and get you into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell you of.
யோசுவா 8:1
அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: நீ பயப்படாமலும் கலங்காமலும் இரு; நீ யுத்த ஜனங்கள் யாவரையும் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு எழுந்து, ஆயிபட்டணத்தின்மேல் போ, இதோ ஆயியின் ராஜாவையும் அவன் ஜனத்தையும் அவன் பட்டணத்தையும் அவன் நாட்டையும் உன் கையிலே ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்.
And the LORD said unto Joshua, Fear not, neither be you dismayed: take all the people of war with you, and arise, go up to Ai: see, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land:
யோசுவா 8:2
நீ எரிகோவுக்கும் அதின் ராஜாவுக்கும் செய்ததுபோல, ஆயிக்கும் அதின் ராஜாவுக்கும் செய்யக்கடவாய்; அதில் கொள்ளையிட்ட பொருள்களையும் மிருக ஜீவன்களையும் உங்களுக்குக் கொள்ளையாக எடுத்துக்கொள்ளலாம், பட்டணத்துக்குப் பின்னாலே பதிவிடையை வை என்றார்.
And you shall do to Ai and her king as you did unto Jericho and her king: only the spoil thereof, and the cattle thereof, shall all of you take for a prey unto yourselves: lay you an ambush for the city behind it.
ஆதியாகமம் 27:1
ஈசாக்கு முதிர்வயதானதினால் அவன் கண்கள் இருளடைந்து பார்வையற்றுப்போனபோது, அவன் தன் மூத்த குமாரனாகிய ஏசாவை அழைத்து, என் மகனே என்றான்; அவன், இதோ, இருக்கிறேன் என்றான்.
And it came to pass, that when Isaac was old, and his eyes were dim, so that he could not see, he called Esau his eldest son, and said unto him, My son: and he said unto him, Behold, here am I.

தன் நிலத்தின் கடைசியிலே இருக்கிற மக்பேலா என்னப்பட்ட குகையை எனக்குச் சொந்தமான கல்லறைப் பூமியாயிருக்கும்படி தரவேண்டும் என்று, அவரிடத்தில் எனக்காக வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்; அது பெறுமான விலைக்கு அவர் அதைத் தருவாராக என்றான்.
That he may give me the cave of Machpelah, which he has, which is in the end of his field; for as much money as it is worth he shall give it me for a possession of a buryingplace among you.
ஆதியாகமம் 10:1
நோவாவின் குமாரராகிய சேம் காம் யாப்பேத் என்பவர்களின் வம்ச வரலாறு: ஜலப்பிரளயத்துக்குப்பின்பு அவர்களுக்குக் குமாரர் பிறந்தார்கள்.
Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood.
ஆதியாகமம் 10:2
யாப்பேத்தின் குமாரர், கோமர், மாகோகு, மாதாய், யாவான், தூபால், மேசேக்கு, தீராஸ் என்பவர்கள்.
The sons of Japheth; Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.
ஆதியாகமம் 10:3
கோமரின் குமாரர், அஸ்கினாஸ், ரீப்பாத்து, தொகர்மா என்பவர்கள்.
And the sons of Gomer; Ashkenaz, and Riphath, and Togarmah.
உபாகமம் 23:1
விதையடிக்கப்பட்டவனும், கோசமாறுபட்டவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.
He that is wounded in the stones, or has his private parts cut off, shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
உபாகமம் 23:2
வேசிப்பிள்ளையும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது; அவனுக்குப் பத்தாம் தலைமுறையானவனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.
A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD.
உபாகமம் 23:3
அம்மோனியனும் மோவாபியனும் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது; பத்தாம் தலைமுறையிலும் என்றைக்கும் அவர்கள் கர்த்தருடைய சபைக்கு உட்படலாகாது.
An Ammonite or Moabite shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even to their tenth generation shall they not enter into the congregation of the LORD for ever:
