அப்போஸ்தலர் 9:3
அவன் பிரயாணமாய்ப் போய், தமஸ்குவுக்குச் சமீபித்தபோது சடிதியிலே வானத்திலிருந்து ஒரு ஒளி அவனைச் சுற்றிப் பிரகாசித்தது;
And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:
அப்போஸ்தலர் 9:4
அவன் தரையிலே விழுந்தான். அப்பொழுது: சவுலே, சவுலே, நீ என்னை ஏன் துன்பப்படுத்துகிறாய் என்று தன்னுடனே சொல்லுகிற ஒரு சத்தத்தைக் கேட்டான்.
And he fell to the earth, and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecute you me?
அப்போஸ்தலர் 9:5
அதற்கு அவன்: ஆண்டவரே, நீர் யார், என்றான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: நீ துன்பப்படுத்துகிற இயேசு நானே, முள்ளில் உதைக்கிறது உனக்குக் கடினமாம் என்றார்.
And he said, Who are you, Lord? And the Lord said, I am Jesus whom you persecute: it is hard for you to kick against the pricks.
அப்போஸ்தலர் 9:6
அவன் நடுங்கித் திகைத்து: ஆண்டவரே, நான் என்னசெய்யச் சித்தமாயிருக்கிறீர் என்றான். அதற்குக் கர்த்தர்: நீ எழுந்து, பட்டணத்துக்குள்ளே போ, நீ செய்யவேண்டியது அங்கே உனக்குச் சொல்லப்படும் என்றார்.
And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what will you have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told you what you must do.
அப்போஸ்தலர் 8:1
அவனைக் கொலைசெய்கிறதற்குச் சவுலும் சம்மதித்திருந்தான். அக்காலத்திலே எருசலேமிலுள்ள சபைக்கு மிகுந்த துன்பம் உண்டாயிற்று. அப்போஸ்தலர்தவிர, மற்ற யாவரும் யூதேயா சமாரியா தேசங்களில் சிறைப்பட்டுப்போனார்கள்.
And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
அப்போஸ்தலர் 8:2
தேவ பக்தியுள்ள மனுஷர் ஸ்தேவானை எடுத்து அடக்கம்பண்ணி, அவனுக்காக மிகவும் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினார்கள்
And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
அப்போஸ்தலர் 8:3
சவுல் வீடுகள்தோறும் நுழைந்து, புருஷரையும் ஸ்திரீகளையும் இழுத்துக்கொண்டுபோய், காவலில் போடுவித்து, சபையைப் பாழாக்கிக்கொண்டிருந்தான்.
As for Saul, he made havoc of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison.
ஆதியாகமம் 49:5
சிமியோனும், லேவியும் ஏக சகோதரர்; அவர்களுடைய பட்டயங்கள் கொடுமையின் கருவிகள்.
Simeon and Levi are brethren; instruments of cruelty are in their habitations.

என் ஆத்துமாவே, அவர்களுடைய இரகசிய ஆலோசனைக்கு உடன்படாதே; என் மேன்மையே, அவர்கள் கூட்டத்தில் நீ சேராதே: அவர்கள் தங்கள் கோபத்தினாலே ஒரு புருஷனைக் கொன்று, தங்கள் அகங்காரத்தினாலே அரண்களை நிர்மூலமாக்கினார்களே.
O my soul, come not you into their secret; unto their assembly, mine honour, be not you united: for in their anger they slew a man, and in their self-will they dug down a wall.
ஆதியாகமம் 49:7
உக்கிரமான அவர்கள் கோபமும் கொடுமையான அவர்கள் மூர்க்கமும் சபிக்கப்படக்கடவது; யாக்கோபிலே அவர்களைப் பிரியவும், இஸ்ரவேலிலே அவர்களைச் சிதறவும் பண்ணுவேன்.
Cursed be their anger, for it was fierce; and their wrath, for it was cruel: I will divide them in Jacob, and scatter them in Israel.
மல்கியா 2:4
லேவியோரடேபண்ணின என் உடன்படிக்கை நிலைத்திருக்கும்படிக்கு இந்தக் கட்டளையை உங்களிடத்திற்கு அனுப்பினேன் என்கிறதை அப்பொழுது அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.
And all of you shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, says the LORD of hosts.
மல்கியா 2:5
அவனோடே பண்ணின என் உடன்படிக்கை ஜீவனும் சமாதானமுமாக இருந்தது; அவன் எனக்குப் பயப்படும் பயத்தோடே இருக்கவேண்டுமென்று, இவைகளை அவனுக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டேன்; அப்படியே அவன் என் நாமத்துக்குப் பயந்தும் இருந்தான்.
My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name.
ஏசாயா 61:7
உங்கள் வெட்கத்துக்குப் பதிலாக இரண்டத்தனையாய்ப் பலன் வரும்; இலச்சைக்குப் பதிலாகத் தங்கள் பாகத்தில் சந்தோஷப்படுவார்கள்; அதினிமித்தம் தங்கள் தேசத்தில் இரட்டிப்பான சுதந்தரம் அடைவார்கள்; நித்திய மகிழ்ச்சி அவர்களுக்கு உண்டாகும்.
For your shame all of you shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

யாபேஸ் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனை நோக்கி: தேவரீர் என்னை ஆசிர்வதித்து, என் எல்லையைப் பெரிதாக்கி, உமது கரம் என்னோடிருந்து, தீங்கு என்னைத் துக்கப்படுத்தாதபடிக்கு அதற்கு என்னை விலக்கிக் காத்தருளும் என்று வேண்டிக்கொண்டான்; அவன் வேண்டிக்கொண்டதை தேவன் அருளினார்.
And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that yours hand might be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.
1 சாமுவேல் 16:6
அவர்கள் வந்தபோது, அவன் எலியாபைப் பார்த்தவுடனே: கர்த்தரால் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணப்படுபவன் இவன் தானாக்கும் என்றான்.
And it came to pass, when they were come, that he looked on Eliab, and said, Surely the LORD’s anointed is before him.
1 சாமுவேல் 16:7
கர்த்தர் சாமுவேலை நோக்கி: நீ இவனுடைய முகத்தையும், இவனுடைய சரீரவளர்ச்சியையும் பார்க்கவேண்டாம்; நான் இவனைப் புறக்கணித்தேன்; மனுஷன் பார்க்கிறபடி நான் பாரேன்; மனுஷன் முகத்தைப் பார்ப்பான்: கர்த்தரோ இருதயத்தைப் பார்க்கிறார் என்றார்.
But the LORD said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD sees not as man sees; for man looks on the outward appearance, but the LORD looks on the heart.
