1 சாமுவேல் 25:3
அந்த மனுஷனுக்கு நாபால் என்றும், அவன் மனைவிக்கு அபிகாயில் என்றும் பெயர்; அந்த ஸ்திரீ மகா புத்திசாலியும் ரூபவதியுமாயிருந்தாள்; அந்தப் புருஷனோ முரடனும் துராகிருதனுமாயிருந்தான்; அவன் காலேபுடைய சந்ததியான்.
Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was rude and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

ராஜகுமாரத்தி உள்ளாக பூரண மகிமையுள்ளவள்; அவள் உடை பொற்சரிகையாயிருக்கிறது.

அவள் உயிரோடிருக்கிற நாளெல்லாம் அவனுக்குத் தீமையையல்ல, நன்மையையே செய்கிறாள்.
She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life.

செளந்தரியம் வஞ்சனையுள்ளது, அழகும் வீண், கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிற ஸ்திரீயே புகழப்படுவாள்.
Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that fears the LORD, she shall be praised.

அழியாத அலங்கரிப்பாயிருக்கிற சாந்தமும் அமைதலுமுள்ள ஆவியாகிய இருதயத்தில் மறைந்திருக்கிற குணமே உங்களுக்கு அலங்காரமாயிருக்கக்கடவது; அதுவே தேவனுடைய பார்வையில் விலையேறப்பெற்றது.
But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price.

அப்பொழுது அபிகாயில் தீவிரமாய் இருநூறு அப்பங்களையும், இரண்டு துருத்தி திராட்சரசத்தையும், சமையல் பண்ணப்பட்ட ஐந்து ஆடுகளையும், ஐந்து படி வறுத்த பயற்றையும், வற்றலாக்கப்பட்ட நூறு திராட்சக்குலைகளையும், வற்றலான இருநூறு அத்திப்பழ அடைகளையும் எடுத்து, கழுதைகள்மேல் ஏற்றி,
Then Abigail made haste, and took two hundred loaves, and two bottles of wine, and five sheep ready dressed, and five measures of parched corn, and an hundred clusters of raisins, and two hundred cakes of figs, and laid them on asses.

அபிகாயில் தாவீதைக் காண்கையில், தீவிரமாய்க் கழுதையை விட்டு இறங்கி, தாவீதுக்கு நேராகத் தரையில் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து பணிந்து,
And when Abigail saw David, she hasted, and lighted off the ass, and fell before David on her face, and bowed herself to the ground,

அவன் பாதத்திலே விழுந்து: என் ஆண்டவனே, இந்தப் பாதகம் என்மேல் சுமரட்டும்; உம்முடைய அடியாளுடைய வார்த்தைகளை நீர் கேட்கும்பொருட்டாக உம்முடைய அடியாள் உமது செவிகேட்கப் பேசவேண்டும்.
And fell at his feet, and said, Upon me, my lord, upon me let this iniquity be: and let yours handmaid, I pray you, speak in yours audience, and hear the words of yours handmaid.
1 சாமுவேல் 25:26
இப்போதும் என் ஆண்டவனே, நீர் இரத்தம் சிந்த வரவும், உம்முடைய கை நீதியைச் சரிக்கட்டவும், கர்த்தர் உமக்கு இடங்கொடுக்கவில்லை என்பதைக் கர்த்தருடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டும், உம்முடைய ஜீவனைக்கொண்டும் சொல்லுகிறேன்; இப்போதும் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களும், என் ஆண்டவனுக்கு விரோதமாகப் பொல்லாப்புத் தேடுகிறவர்களும், நாபாலைப்போல ஆகக்கடவர்கள்.
Now therefore, my lord, as the LORD lives, and as your soul lives, seeing the LORD has withheld you from coming to shed blood, and from avenging yourself with yours own hand, now let yours enemies, and they that seek evil to my lord, be as Nabal.

உமது அடியாளின் பாதகத்தை மன்னியும், கர்த்தர் என் ஆண்டவனுக்கு நிலையான வீட்டை நிச்சயமாய்க் கட்டுவார்; என் ஆண்டவன் கர்த்தருடைய யுத்தங்களை நடத்துகிறவராமே; நீர் உயிரோடே இருக்கும் நாளில் ஒரு பொல்லாப்பும் உம்மிலே காணப்படாதிருப்பதாக.
I pray you, forgive the trespass of yours handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fights the battles of the LORD, and evil has not been found in you all your days.
1 சாமுவேல் 25:31
நீர் விருதாவாய் இரத்தம் சிந்தாமலும், என் ஆண்டவனாகிய நீர் பழிவாங்காமலும் இருந்ததுண்டானால், அப்பொழுது என் ஆண்டவனாகிய உமக்குத் துக்கமும் இராது, மன இடறலும் இராது; கர்த்தர் என் ஆண்டவனுக்கு நன்மை செய்யும்போது, உம்முடைய அடியாளை நினைப்பீராக என்றாள்.
That this shall be no grief unto you, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that you have shed blood causeless, or that my lord has avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember yours handmaid.
1 சாமுவேல் 25:33
நீ சொல்லிய யோசனை ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவதாக; நான் இரத்தம் சிந்த வராதபடிக்கும், என் கையே பழிவாங்காதபடிக்கும், நீ இன்றையதினம் எனக்குத் தடைபண்ணினபடியினால், நீயும் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்படுவாயாக.
And blessed be your advice, and blessed be you, which have kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand.
நீதிமொழிகள் 31:17
தன்னைப் பெலத்தால் இடைக்கட்டிக்கொண்டு, தன் கைகளைப் பலப்படுத்துகிறாள்.
She girds her loins with strength, and strengthens her arms.
நீதிமொழிகள் 31:26
தன் வாயை ஞானம் விளங்கத் திறக்கிறாள்; தயையுள்ள போதகம் அவள் நாவின்மேல் இருக்கிறது.
She opens her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness.

அபிகாயில் நாபாலிடத்தில் வந்தபோது, இதோ, ராஜவிருந்துக்கு ஒப்பான விருந்து அவன் வீட்டிலே நடந்தது; அவன் இருதயம் களித்திருந்தது; அவன் மிகவும் வெறித்துமிருந்தான்; ஆகையால் பொழுது விடியுமட்டும் சிறியகாரியமானாலும் பெரிய காரியமானாலும், ஒன்றையும் அவனுக்கு அறிவிக்கவில்லை.
And Abigail came to Nabal; and, behold, he held a feast in his house, like the feast of a king; and Nabal’s heart was merry within him, for he was very drunken: wherefore she told him nothing, less or more, until the morning light.

பொழுது விடிந்து, நாபாலின் வெறிதெளிந்தபின்பு, அவன் மனைவி இந்த வர்த்தமானங்களை அவனுக்கு அறிவித்தாள்; அப்பொழுது அவன் இருதயம் அவனுக்குள்ளே செத்து, அவன் கல்லைப்போலானான்.
But it came to pass in the morning, when the wine was gone out of Nabal, and his wife had told him these things, that his heart died within him, and he became as a stone.
நீதிமொழிகள் 31:31
அவள் கைகளின் பலனை அவளுக்குக் கொடுங்கள்; அவளுடைய செய்கைகள் வாசல்களில் அவளைப் புகழக்கடவது.
Give her of the fruit of her hands; and let her own works praise her in the gates.
